I feel old

Time for my daily post and I have to say that I felt old when I was reading the release notes for this album. When they wrote on  http://www.foofrecords.com that they “cannot claim to be 4AD, Matador or Young Turks (yet)” I thought that many many listeners do not remember 4AD anymore. Yes this label was one of the big ones during my youth and it brought us great bands like Cocteau Twins, Modern English and many more… Have a look at this wikipedia article and you will understand!

So foof records are mentioning them in their announcement of my tip of the day. Please listen to the whole album, because the songs are very diverse, but at the same time they really gave me that 4AD feeling. Personally I like “Tonight We Fly – Allergy (from the EP ‘Sum’)” the most, but all four songs are great and I can’t wait for more of the band and the label!

Go to foofrecords.com and enjoy more great music, but don’t feel old! It is great music nothing else. I hope we get more of this in the future.
